Return Protocol and Clinical Integrity
Patient safety and the integrity of medical devices require rigorous return protocols. As a link in the healthcare chain, MediUnit applies strict traceability and hygiene standards to every credit or return request.
Operational Protocol: April 2026
Regulatory Timeline
Any return request must be formalized within 7 calendar days after receipt, subject to clinical eligibility.
Integrity Condition
Devices must be returned in their original, sealed, unopened packaging, free from any alteration.
Case Resolution
After technical inspection, a commercial credit note or refund is issued according to the applicable contractual situation.
1. Safety Restrictions and Non-Returnability
To guarantee clinical safety and prevent any contamination risk, the following categories are strictly excluded from return:
- Sterile devices whose individual packaging or seal has been broken or altered.
- Temperature-sensitive consumables, reagents, and products requiring cold chain maintenance.
- Equipment sourced on special order or specifically configured for a facility.
- Products that have been used, even partially, or show signs of handling.
2. Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) for Returns
01. Authorization Request (RMA)
The client must submit a formal request to operational support, specifying the lot number, SKU reference, and the technical reason for the return.
02. Technical Inspection and Validation
MediUnit evaluates eligibility. If validated, a return authorization is issued, and pickup logistics are coordinated.
03. Closing and Adjustment
Upon receipt at our warehouse and verification of integrity, the case is closed by issuing a credit note within 7 business days.
3. Delivery Anomalies and Transit Damage
- Any claim for visible damage or shortages must be recorded on the delivery note at receipt to be admissible.
- MediUnit’s responsibility is engaged until the transfer of custody to the receiving facility.
- Refusal of a damaged package at delivery is recommended to speed up the replacement process.
