- Expiration alert: expiration date checked via the calibration chip, with an alert if the strip is expired
- Underdosing detection: indicates when additional blood is required
- Re-dosing option: re-dosing possible within 5 seconds
- Blood application: on the strip inside or outside the meter; double visual check by comparing colors on the vial
